what I have noticed: a good worker is an assett. New Companies are messing up. they are posting job descriptions that are very specific. gor example, there may be a very skilled 60 yr old who does SW configuration management..... the platform used for the SW should not be a showstopper... the job req reads: we need a SW config Mgr. you must use the latest DOORS 45.5 (so don't apply if you have only used DOORS 3.0) ... A GOOD EMPLOYEE WILL EXCEL OVER A NEW HIRE who recently trained on the new software (but doesn't have the practical experience to do SW management)
