This was my ex. Would be rude and combative and just a negative player that dominated the session. Literally was saying I should die and that I was disgusting. Ended up getting drunk and became toxic. It literally led to our breakup. The second they left the sessions became a lot more relaxed

they played an undead character. how did their character die before the campaign? ended themselves. as a child. decided to never bring this up when triggers were discussed, and didn't tell the DM that part of the backstory so we all got blindsided.

dmed for a group that was consistently late, never communicated, and hardly participated when i gave numerous chances for them to(AND had countless conversations asking if there was anything i could do to improve the game for them, to absolutely no avail. they gave me zero input and repeatedly told me the sessions were fun). i felt bad for the couple of people who were actively interested and involved so when we started playing again for the summer the problem players conveniently went separate ways from the party. the vibe has improved and now the plot actually progresses:))

we had to kick one of my og players because her mental illnesses were too much for the group to handle. she would frequently have outbursts if she felt ignored in any situation, she would always leave the sessions of other dms at the table early because she had a crush on me(i know its a stretch but i did confirm it).

My childhood friend and I developed our D&D crew over 15 years and it's been smooth sailing since then. Every week same time, no randomly missing sessions, no murderhobos, heavy roleplaying with excellent builds. If this group falls apart I'm quitting TTRPGs because no group will ever measure up to it

That person in my group might be a problem however at the end of the day they are friends with everyone in the group and we can confront em about it. Plus it’s just another thing to tease em about at the end of the day.

I had been playing at a local place as a teenager so our campaign was pretty open to new players. Started out amazing, but people started moving out of state. Pretty soon after they started letting way too many people play to the point where one round would take forever. The last straw was this 25 year old who immediately asked me out once I turned 18…
