There’s no set pre load you set where you like it, the noise is normal but don’t be afraid to tighten them spring nuts down

I wonder if you could make a bushing out of sheet nylon to quiet up the metal on metal rattle without having to crank everything down and lose the softer feel.

I don’t really have a noise but a buddy with the same front end as mine does. If I hear anything from my front end I would say it sounds like the air turbulence through the springs

it is hard to find much info on adjusting them I threw one on my dyna . after probably 1000 miles or so now I need to go back through and do some adjusting. getting a wobble over 65

stock springers arent noisy. ive put alot of miles on mine. dont know bout the aftermarket ones, but my stocker is smooth and quiet with no pogo with the shock

Just make sure the springs are tight enough so it doesn't pogo. Spongy frone ends are prone to that.
