Zip codes are also correlated with IQ, so it has a lot of overlap

zipcode is polite speech for wealth. Wealth is more important then education and intelligence. Look at Trump, too dum to get into community college but Penn accepted him for undergrad program and he rose to become President and is below average literacy, even now.

I mean this makes a ton of sense. You could have an IQ of 130 but you don’t believe that material success is possible, who cares. Rich kids normalize being rich. They only pursue opportunities that will get them there’s

correlation not causation. zip code does not cause success....your parents have a big influence on a child's success

Ones success is greatly influenced by who’s hole you fell out of and what hole you fell into.

I doubt this is true, take all the kids in poorer ZIP codes but who scored in the 80th percentile or higher in SAT/ACT and I bet they're more successful than kids who lived in wealthy ZIP codes but who scored below the 60th percentile in SAT/ACT scores.

Ah yes, the gospel of socioeconomic determinism because once your zip code’s assigned, apparently your entire life is already mapped out. Sure, privilege plays a role, but I’ve seen plenty of people with nothing build everything, and plenty born into wealth do absolutely nothing. Turns out relying on your parents' money isn’t the same as having drive. Success isn’t inherited, it’s earned.

see when people say things like this, I see them as trying to make this not about the other elephant in the room. who lives in these area codes? Is it an accident that these people who share certain physical characteristics live in that area? It was all designed. socioeconomic status, Zip code and race are all linked together.
