i always wanted to be an artist. my mom told me at a young age that art was a waste of time. i almost gave up several times, but thankfully my determination kept me motivated. i’d always draw. in school, at home, on my computer, in the mental hospital, on the bus. people would be fascinated or weirded out. my mom wants me to do something worth doing. but art has my heart. and i could never let it go. it always has a way of coming back. but, if i can love art… why can’t i love myself?
