It’s cause you didn’t use taping mud you used a top coat. You need taping mud with glue in it and meet to prefill your holes and cracks with a self setting mud like easy sand 45

And you should’ve cut the crack out with a razor blade like a v and then prefilled it and used tape and not mesh sense it is a stress crack. Mesh is good for patches. Tape is good for actual cracks. Use the right type of mud and it won’t bubble
