How about the federal government fully fund education especially the ADA and IDEA? Instead of dismantling the Dept of Education and spending billions on military equipment use that money to pay for it

I’m all for it being funded by taxpayers. We still need everyone to pull their own weight to have a strong community and I feel that’s never going to happen we have rewarded lazy people for way to long. Bit good luck wish nothing

School nurse here-we agree, but tell our lawmakers! We need more money, not negotiations. Ask me about my health room budget…OTC meds are EXPENSIVE & so are personal care items. My budget got cut in HALF last year.

It’s not financially feaseable for districts to do this. They already pay for books, computers, lab supplies, basic teacher supplies, office supplies bussing, lunches, salaries etc. a year’s worth of supplies for each kid would be very costly.

I remember even in the 80s in Iowa having school fees in jr and sr high that my mom struggled to cover. I feel like they were like $80 or something. Part of that was being in band and on a sports team, but not all of it. And still had to have your own supplies like folders, paper, and pencils/pens. This has been an issue for decades.

EXACTLY! The politicians benefits from us fussing at each other over school supplies instead of demanding THEM to fully fund our schools.

If they’re so mad about it, why don’t they start trolling their legislators who continue to cut funding to education?
