I am French and I used pliage bags as school bags. One in junior high and one in high school. I only changed because I wanted a new color, both bags are still in great shape and I use them still to this day. I am now 33 yo. I have put tens of kilos of books, spilled drinks, thrown them on the ground, used them as pillows, brought them in many airports and even checked the black one a couple of times. I know only 3 things will outlive a nuclear war: tardigrades, roaches and those bags.

I’ve had a Le Pliage in rotation since 2008. Perfect work and travel bag. I can toss it in the wash when it gets super dirty.

I think the Longchamp conveys that you can understand value, including what is appropriate, and you have the intelligence to use it when you could afford something else. Like ESPECIALLY in an office environment where you don’t want to be flashy but are still making good money it’s like a sign of discretion.

i can vouch for the mini version- when traveling it’s a great way to keep your passport, wallet, phone, a lip gloss, airpods etc handy but it’s too small to count as a bag (i say it’s my wallet) so you can have a carry on, backpack type personal item, plus have the mini with your immediate essentials w no issues
