Love the mix you made, but dont like leaving the old soil mix in. Looks like significantly more water retention in what is was potted in vs your mix. Personally would have cleaned the old mix off.

I doubt you'll see this message but I recommend putting the Thai con on a "moss" pole! I have a D shaped moss pole that has coco chunks in it instead. it gets watered when my plant does
