No mama, while we’re all Africans Black Americans are highly biologically related to the Nigerians, that’s cause a higher Nigerian population was taken into slavery, while only about 10% ( Kru &Kpelle)were taken from Liberia. Ur grandfather always had dinner at our house whenever he was in Monrovia.

Look up the word Ethnogenesis if you're not familiar with it. We are not the same people anymore. They are Africans just like other Africans but with a unique history connceted to America. We are no longer the same people.

It was called the Grain Coast, let’s not romanticize the Liberian connection with the USA. Also, Firestone being considered as a slave colony (1 million acres of for less $6000, for a contract of 99 years, etc.) is unsettling! Natives having to change their names to Western names for opportunity still has its stigma as to why Liberians have a combination of indigenous names and English. I agree, but those issues have to be addressed amicably.
