My daughter is non verbal also she is 15 and listens to a lot of music and doing better she goes to a special school Progression education program .

my son sounds level 3 autism. it does look like she is parroting, and sometimes the frequency can be indicative of something, in your case maybe stimming more when she is in pain.

As a caregiver understanding what they need is one of the biggest challenges and blessing when achieved. Can she tell you with pictures if given the choice between pictures. My son could choose between picture s of what he wanted.

Have you ever tried a visual board with PECS? I used this on my son with a lot of pictures , he is very visual

I have a autistic son and he has bad teeth problem and he is no good in pain you should try one Motrin and one Tylenol that helps with the pain if she’s in pain, My Son doesn’t take pills so I do children’s Motrin and Tylenol mix

She’s nonverbal and only has a few short demand phrases. When she doesn’t feel good she repeats them at random. It’s not about wanting that thing, it’s her way of showing she’s in pain or uncomfortable. That was the point of the video.

we also have a non verbal kid. the thing that both made us say "OH MY GOD, IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW" and "wtf" at the same time was: learning from an adult who was non verbal through and 16, he said that throughout his entire non verbal years, he had no idea that nobody could hear what he was thinking. boom. autistic minds work in such unique ways. it suddenly makes sense why our boy would be so frustrated he's having 4 hour meltdowns if he's thinking all these thoughts, with the impression that he's communicating it all to us, but of course we can't hear his thoughts so he thinks that all go ignored. just an interesting thing that made us kinda tweak how we parent. still not sure how to overcome or navigate our inability to read his mind.

God bless you for taking care of her. My nephew is autistic but not this bad. This world is full of hurtful people and rudeness from everyone. It’s hard trying to maintain and you are doing a wonderful job you are the best mom ❤️
