@pt_with_jt: The doctors are NOT the problem. I 100% understand the frustration people feel towards healthcare which has unfortunately lead to a lack of trust in medical providers. But from what I’ve seen, the doctors I’ve met, and the stories I’ve heard, the issue seems to be stemming from the top - the insurance companies and/or corporate healthcare that see patients as a number and not as a person. Ask any doctor why they wanted to become a doctor and most will say something about wanting to help people. These are GOOD people. But when they’re put in a situation where they can’t help people to the fullest extent of their abilities, it makes them seem like the issue. Healthcare reform needs to be aimed at allowing doctors more time with patients, encouraging them to build relationships that foster trust, and providing holistic care to a PERSON and not a NUMBER. Okay, Ted talk over🫡 #healthcare #healthcareworker #healthinsurance #physicaltherapy #physicaltherapist #doctor #doctors

No, most doctors don’t listen or seem to care at all.

There are some doctors who are the problem but you're right - 98% of the problem is the system.

It's absolutely a broken system. And the capitalistic model is to blame. I am so fed up with people voting against their own interests 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

The doctors have allowed the system to be corrupted and broken. They are just as much at fault as the system itself. They have allowed themselves to be used as tools by the insurance company, and big Pharma and now must play their role.

The system isn’t broken. It’s working how it was intended to. That’s the problem.

The doctors are broken too. They sit there and gaslight you for YEARS! Most doctors dismiss every concern you have as a women.

I was shocked to see all the Democrat politicians at the top of the Big Healthcare donations list. Seems like we all have been fooled.

Claude 3.5:
the medical profession in the US exhibits several "cartel-like" behaviors that artificially inflate physician compensation, such as restricting medical school spots, lobbying against competition, controlling licensing, and manipulating billing practices.

Wrong! They are part of the system and going along with to, and choosing to gaslight patients instead of being honest. They are siding with the insurance companies and medical corporations. Did it ever occur to you that it all happens like this because the doctors allow it to? Like a puzzle piece? Wake up! I work on a broken system and don’t get to just blame it; I have to acknowledge it and take ownership and I show up to work ready to fight brick walls.

Doctors are the problem when they intentionally over bill insurance though. Was recently given a non-branded shoulder sling for rotator cuff surgery and he billed my insurance $1,265 for the brace alone. Thank goodness I’m co-pay and not deductible. I found a different dr (he billed like $250 for a Breg).

As a woman who has a autoimmune disease that has taken me 10 years and 100s of doctors to be diagnosed, yes the system is broken but there are quite a few awful doctors too. Not all but roughly 75% I’ve felt with

The fees are out of control. The insurance fraud/game needs to be stopped. A $14,000 bill for a 10 minute procedure is insane.

I could see this leading to a doctor shortage as more people choose not to become doctors because of the system they would have to work in.

I get defending fellow colleagues, but in my experience, I had a doctor who abandoned his clients, another doctor that didn't care for what I had to say, All I got was rush, hush, and here's some pills. no callbacks from tests either. Excuse me but where did the care in healthcare go?

I had severe sciatica for two years because doctors didn’t believe me. A rheumatologist laughed when I told her I had sciatica without back pain. I have multi level stenosis and had 2 ESI and still struggle with muscle weakness from having sciatica for so long.

The care in healthcare changed when the insurance companies started dictating how we provide care, paying bare minimum to providers across the spectrum…while making patients pay ridulously high copays that almost completely cover the cost of care…on top of the premiums that we pay to the ins companies…meaning the insurance company really is making money hand over fist. Between limiting visits and the amount of paperwork they require for us to be able to provide the minimal expected provisions of care…we spend just about as much time doing paperwork and making phone calls for appeals as we do seeing patients….in my 30 years it has changed drastically…
