Your brain literally blocks hours or even days out because they were too traumatic (it’s the brain protecting itself) and i’m guessing she had a head injury too, it’s completely normal to not remember anything

I was in a catastrophic car accident at 16, I can remember the morning of and then 2 weeks later waking up in icu. After reading medical reports they gave me medication in the helicopter so I wouldn’t remember. I also talked to the fire department that cut me out of my car. They broke my femur trying to get the door off, all other injuries I had when they arrived. So your brain is protecting you, it’s been 23 years and I still can’t remember I want to,just can’t.

Yeah I don’t remember my car accident either that I had in 2011 all I remember is waking up in the hospital and finding out I broke my jaw and almost died because by bone was 1cm away from cutting the main vain in my face.
