We need to start talking to employees about benefits and what they choose and why they should or shouldn't chooses to offer specific insurances... if we can get employers to negotiate away from insurance companies that don't provide excellent services.

Me at open enrollment: dropping UHC and selecting ANYTHING ELSE. I encourage EVERYONE to do the same. It’s a two way street. If they can drop doctors, we, the customer, can drop UHC. I pay for HEALTHCARE not a roulette wheel of care.

Encouraging Medicare Recipients not to choose advantage plans. Medicare AB supplemented to Mutual of Omaha (example only) you won’t have a huge deductible. Love you Dr Potter.

My husband works at a university with tens of thousands of employees. Our benefit year runs from July 1-June 30. They raised co-pays, again. After decades of having medical, prescription, & dental through the same company, they changed just our prescription carrier and told NO ONE. Thousands of people are only finding out because we go to refill prescriptions and are told our insurance is no longer valid. So far every prescription has more than doubled. Daily inhalers are no longer covered, the new options are double what we paid a month ago. It’s all such a joke and so devastating. Every time we turn around we’re getting hit with price hikes and inflation.

unfortunately some employers only UHC as they are self-insured. employees need to get on committees and demand a switch and that cheaper is not better

Not enrolling insurance is not the answer. Just don’t enroll in a Optum, United Healthcare Plan of any kind.
