Show all the correspondence to your bank and have them do a charge back. They admitted fault and that should be enough to get the chargeback done

Sue them in small claims court. They won’t even send a representative and you’ll get it whatever you want. You can add damages for emotional health or whatever up to whatever the maximum is for small claim court

That is theft. That charge was THEIR mistake and unauthorized. Sucks for them that Japan Airlines charged them for a mistake they didn’t fix

But that ticket they checked you in for wouldn’t have existed had they righted their wrong when they said they would. That’s on them that they got charged not you. You tried to fix it before it was an issue.

I always dispute the charge first. I never trust the company & they will always avoid fees and dings on their account and refund quicker

wow! $3600+ is no small error! And the error didn't start with any mistake you made. It was American Airline errors that caused this whole issue!

I have found that big corporations only care about their Better Business Bureau rating, file an official complaint, that’s how I always get a resolution when big companies try to get away with stealing money!!

Call your bank and file a chargeback!! You have proof that it was an error on their end and banks take chargebacks once 10 business days have passed!
