I want to know how you got a HELOC on a home you didn’t yet own.

These comments are strange. If the roles were reversed and she wasn’t working and her husband was hustling, she’d be lazy and he should leave her because “why can’t she work” but now she’s hustling and this is a bad thing? i can’t rationalize this!

Girl what was your home appraised at? It’s so crazy to me how people pay thousands more than it’s worth. I would hate to be buying a home these days 😅

:Out of curiosity what are your property taxes? In New Jersey you would be paying over $20,000 a year in property taxes and $3000 to 5000 a year in home owners insurance.

Why did you put down $200k then turn around a year later and need $100k for a HELOC? Did you just plan it that way to avoid PMI?

$611250 loan amount / $815000(purchase price=75%. 25% down payment looks like an example of investment property. You then take out $110,000 HELOC to reduce risk or leverage. A single mom nurse with 3 children, I know I would never make it. Childcare alone will cost me a fortune.

Why are you the sole income earner, when kids are in school, trying to pay down debt faster? Couldn't your spouse work, or are they disabled?
