Your rope was too low and not tight enough. Keep it higher and snug, and run the boat at 17–20 mph. Don’t point your toes forward it’ll help you stay balanced.

They’re towering way too fast for a beginner. No reason to go over 15-18 mph when learning. Typically tow kids at 12-14 when learning
