HOMEMADE CORN DOGS INGREDIENTS 1c cornmeal
1c flour
2 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt 2 Tbsp oil 
1c buttermilk (plus more if too thick) 
1 egg
2 Tbsp honey

10 hot dogs Frying Oil Popsicle sticks INSTRUCTIONS In a medium bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix in oil, buttermilk, egg, and honey. Let rest for 10 minutes. In a large pot, heat frying oil of your choice to 350 degrees. Add hot dogs to popsicle sticks. Stir the batter and check for consistency. It should be thick enough to stick to the hot dog but thin enough to drip slightly. If it’s too thick at 1 Tbsp buttermilk at a time. Pour batter into a tall glass. Dip hot dog in the batter until it is completely coated. Allow excess to drip off. Gently drop the corn dog into the hot frying oil. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until deep golden brown. Use a tongs to remove the corn dog onto a baking sheet topped with a cooling rack. #homemadefood #CookingHacks
