It's the fact that I had to leave ethnicity and diversity workplace groups I was in because any time I talked about race, they immediately veered off into neurodiversity, physical/mental disabilities & age etc. Meanwhile I'm like wow...so you've developed whole inclusion workplace groups but still race isn't talked about or thought about 😑

I grew up in an incredibly racist Unitarian Universalist church. I’m not saying all UUs are racist but be weary. If I picked up on the racism as a white suburban kid in the 80s, you know it was extreme.

I’ve also seen SEVERAL white autistics try to compare the autistic experience to race in online discourse…awful, and also, like they think BIPOC autistics don’t exist…? The cringiest shit, but people correct em REAL fast. Every marginalized space has white ppl like this 😭

As a white person with neuromuscular issues and CPTSD, I am always ready to have my privileges challenged, and to be quiet when people that are marginalized due to systemic racism are speaking so that I can fucking learn. (Also, I said privileges, rather than privilege because I have many privileges beyond being white.)
