Whoever’s idea it was to hang the quilts behind the table displays messed up. It wrecks the color scheme of every table. It should have been a neutral background and the quilts should have been placed elsewhere

I HATE that they put those blankets as the back drop. I get that it's possibly a space saving issue but they absolutely kill the vibe that the table scapes are trying to convey.

I would argue that the birth of Venus table was, in fact, resourceful. Did the resourcefulness pay off…absolutely not. But were they crafty? Were they embracing their inner MacGyver? Yes and yes.

Wish my local fair had this competition, it would be fun to design a table. The quilts need to be moved they distract from the look of the table.

The only problem I have with James is the Nile has crocodiles and the swamp has alligators 😂 It looks art deco/avant garde & not reading Cleopatra to me. It is a beautiful table though

James is giving dinner with Cleopatra, a disco queen. He took a much more esoteric approach instead of going with the boring, literal Greek/Roman gods. The judges obviously don’t appreciate nuance.

I think you should enter a table scape next year. Your theme could be Jurassic Park or fossils and gems. Now that would be amazing!
