@channelnewsasia: Leaders of both Cambodia and Thailand hailed their "immediate and unconditional" ceasefire, following mediation talks in Malaysia on Monday (Jul 28). After Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced the breakthrough in Putrajaya, Cambodian PM Hun Manet said he had a "very good meeting" with acting Thai Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai in Malaysia. He said he hopes the talks will set the conditions for moving forward in their bilateral discussions to return to normalcy in the relationship. Meanwhile, acting Thai Prime Minister Phumtham said that the agreement reflected Thailand’s desire to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict, while protecting the sovereignty and lives of its people. #thailand #cambodia
