me back then 16y old was our guild leader and MT. Our guild was the 2nd to clear MC and i received to many whispers to join the guild. at the end i created a website with forum and class sections and had people submit their CVs online lol. then followed with interviews and trial membership and i would ask new recruits about their dps/heal rotation to see if they understood their class😂😂😂 lol good times. needless to say i had dozens of people twice my age and ended up mediating relationship problems between irl couples. looking back it was absolutely madness to what it all became

Uggggh I don’t miss guild applications. I retired from wow at the start of this year. Est. 2005, I remember our guild had a MT who was 13 and would give life advice like “If you’re not playing wow, you’re wasting your time” and my fav “if your wife wants to leave you for playing wow, good. Now nobody can stop you from missing our raids.”

One thing ive learned in video games is you do not join a guild if you are not ready to either be present 24 hours a day or carry the clan for those 4 hours youll be online.
