Trump started a trade fight with Europe over nothing, slapped on tariffs that made stuff like cars and tools more expensive, then claimed victory when they โagreed to talk about maybe fixing it.โ There wasnโt a big problem before. He made the mess, then took credit for cleaning it up. Which is his MO. This deal sounds good on the surface, but hereโs what actually happens: cost of goods go up. American companies pass those costs on to us the consumers. So while itโs supposed to โprotect American jobs,โ it ends up making life more expensive for working families. Big corporations stay rich either way. Regular people lose. Sooo basically the status quo but more expensive ๐ฅฐ

I love how liberals want to tax American corporations more and claim it will have no affect on consumer prices. Trump taxes foreign corporations to make American products more attractive and they start bitching itโs going to drive consumer pricing up. Anytime itโs good for the US they complain and say Orange man bad. They may never win another election.
