I love that ABA is changing in a positive direction. but there also needs to be understanding that it hasn't always been that way. many adults now who went through ABA as children are saying it was abusive. the negativity people are showing is likely coming from that. many ABA clinics do still stop children from stemming and do not respect the children's boundaries. A lot of work still needs to be done, and autistic voices need to be lifted up when it comes to more changes. Thank you for being one of the good ones. ❤️

I was an RBT at an ABA clinic that did not respect boundaries and that’s why I left. It’s encouraging to know not all clinics are like that ♥️keep it up love!

My child has profound autism, and I owe my life to ABA. I was so impressed with his progress that I became an RBT. Maybe 30 years ago ABA was problematic, but it has come a long way.
