Let me know if you try it! 😋 Filling: - 1 tbsp olive oil or ghee - 1 large onion, finely diced - 1/2 lb ground beef - 1 tbsp tomato paste - 1 tsp paprika - 1/2 tsp cumin - 1/2 tsp salt - 1/2 tsp black pepper Optional: 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley Phyllo Sauce: - 1 egg - 2 tbsp plain yogurt - 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter - 1 tbsp milk or water to thin To Finish: - 10–12 phyllo sheets - 1 egg yolk (optional) - Sesame seeds (optional) 1. Sauté onion in olive oil. Add beef and brown fully. 2. Stir in tomato paste, spices, and parsley. Cook a few more minutes. 3. In a bowl, whisk sauce ingredients. 4. Layer phyllo, brushing with sauce between sheets. 5. Add 1/2 beef, layer phyllo, add remaining half of beef, top with phyllo, score and bake at 375°F for 35–40 min. 6. Rest, slice, serve warm.
