I make ground beef and potatoes like this almost every weekend! Easy and So Delicious! There is something so comforting about a dinner made with ground beef and potatoes. It is simple, familiar and always makes the kitchen feel warm. My children love this recipe, and it is always a favorite when my mom or mother-in-law comes to visit. It is one of those cozy family dinners that brings everyone to the table and disappears quickly. This ground beef and potato bake is hearty, comforting and easy to prepare in one pan. It is perfect for a busy weeknight, a relaxed Sunday dinner or any evening when you want to make something warm and satisfying for the people you love. The leftovers are just as delicious the next day, and the whole dish can also be frozen for later. I hope this comforting potato casserole becomes one of those recipes your family asks you to make again and again. Ingredients: • 1 tbsp pork lard (or any oil you prefer) • 1 lb (450g) lean ground beef • 1 onion • 2 garlic cloves • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream or milk • 1 tsp thyme • 1 tsp sage • Salt, black pepper • 2 handfuls spinach (optional) • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce • 7-9 mushrooms (optional) • 4 peeled potatoes • 4 ounces (115g) Gruyère cheese
