Respectfully no, this comment section is out of control. Calvin believes he has the same equal authority as his mother. No way, as a child to think you have the right to debate/argue with your parent… wowzer. Calvin needs to be taught that when an adult especially a parent gives you instruction it’s not a negotiation. This will help him be respectful in all areas of his life into manhood. Can you imagine him being a man trying to argue with a woman when she clearly set a boundary? We know where that leads.

I’m conflicted because.. his communication skills are top notch, and that’s a reflection of the parenting, which is great, but you can tell he’s also manipulating and gaslighting SO well at the same time 😩

Everyone’s mad at Calvin like she’s not TEACHING him in the moment. He can have his words and his feelings and still be a child, in the process of learning. Mom did an amazing job teaching about weaponized incompetence and how the conversation should go. He’s a human being and will never be 100% perfect just like EVERYONE ELSE in this comment section. He had a better convo w his mom than 9/10 parents in this section.

Contrary to the comment section- I think mom is terrible at “listening”. Dismissive mannerisms, talking down to him, eye rolls… then she blames him for repeating her same actions back at her. I dunno, she sucks, my 2 cents. Just wants attention and praise
