@laurenshonestreviews: *no spoilers* I wasn’t sure about this one… There were a lot of slow parts for me, and it honestly didn’t grab me until about 30% of the way in. I’m so glad I stuck with it though! True to Kristin Hannah’s form, this book highlights the journey of a female heroine (in this case, two sisters during WWII.) I couldn’t stop reading throughout the second half. My jaw was literally hitting the floor. I was in AWE of the many acts of bravery. The ending will break your heart but was somehow the perfect conclusion. 4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars- some parts dragged on, and I kept comparing it to other KH books that had me hooked the entire time! More deets on a future YT ranking vid!
