I thought I just sunburned easy and that it went away really fast. Like within hours of going inside. Turns out it was photosensitivity. Also found out that my aversion to light wasn’t because my eyes are blue but again photosensitivity.

yes, writing was always a struggle for me growing up. I could write neatly the first minute but then my hand would just give up. it wasn't until years later and found i was misdiagnosed the whole time.

Anything that requires close grip is painful for me; the most painful is peeling a vegetable or fruit and using a pressure washer. For some reason my dominant hand is worse. Also, every day I struggle to do anything with my hair, the pain and fatigue in my shoulders and muscles to elbows is crazy. Not currently diagnosed with Lupus …..

I can't paint, use a can opener, I can only write a sentence before it starts to get painful. I can't remember my first aha moment. I was hospitalized because my labs were so bad and my primary freaked out. so I found out that way. I have raynauds and sjogrens because of it

This happens to me all the time! Every time I’m on this app it just reassures me more and more that I do have Lupus (even if the rheumatologist says I’m fine 🙄)

I crochet and type a lot. If I do too much in one sitting then my hands spasm and sometimes it gets painful and I have to put a ball in my hands to help keep them in a more neutral position. I have not been diagnosed with lupus though

Yes! I just thought my hands were weak bc I was getting old and didn’t do sports or workout and stuff anymore. My odd thing was sores in my nose. I thought it was just dry nose sores that started bc of cold weather in the winter but they never went away and were still there after my nose wasn’t running. They drive me nuts! Just like the skin falls off and make a raw spot 🙄

I’ve fractured/broken my feet combined 6 times. Both feet this year in a 6 month span. Apparently this is normal. I’m over the broken feet.

I was in dental hygiene school with several "normal" symptoms. I couldn't hold instruments very long, had shooting back pain, massive headaches, fatigue, etc., and needless to say, I didn't finish school and it eats at me everyday. I was diagnosed with lupus 3 years later.

Cutting up food, opening jars, basically using my hands lol. Walking up and down my basement stairs. I thought oh I’m just getting older. Nope lupus diagnosis here lol
