I liked Joey Swoll before. I wish he and others would just say, “I grew up looking up to Hulk Hogan because of who he was as a wrestler and body builder. When I got older and more things came out about Hulk Hogan it was hard for me to step back and see that he wasn't the person and I idolized as a child.” But Hulk Hogan continued to be racist and support atrocities like Alligator Alcatraz until the day he died. I think something important is his apology, a lot of apologies on the internet aren’t sincere and are damage control, but joeys didn’t feel like that, he was genuine and looked genuinely remorseful. He says he apologized after finding out that “colored” was offensive minutes later in the live stream, it’s also important to note he’s older and older people can make racist and outdated comments that were normal when they grew up
