After my mom passed I went to Costco to get some items I needed. It took me forever to shop because I couldn’t focus. When I got to the checkout they told me my membership had expired and I needed to go to customer service. I full on started crying. Like sobbing. Another worker came over - he was this intimidating giant of a man and asked if the cashier was mean to me. I explained how my mom just died and I was overreacting to the situation at hand. This man leaned down and asked if he could hug me. I said yes and wailed crying in a strangers arms…in Costco…he said “it’s okay baby girl. You mama knew you needed a hug. Let it all out”. I’m forever grateful to that man.

Yes!!!! I think of how I was in the hours and days weeks after my mom passed and i try sooo hard to smile at EVERYONE….even if they don’t deserve it…..
