Unlike most books I read the only reason why I'm not annoyed about her being small is that sickness turning her into a rubric cubes. but am I TIRED OF HER TRUSTING THEN NOT TRUSTING XADEN. RAAAAH

The concept behind Fourth Wing is honestly really cool — the whole idea of a war college, the dragon bonds, the divided society… it could’ve been epic. But the constant “I’m so small and fragile but somehow I do everything perfectly” trope kinda ruins it for me. 😅 Not to mention, I’m not a big fan of romantasy in general, so maybe that plays a part too. I’m not saying it’s a bad book — just that I personally would’ve loved more worldbuilding, more dragons, more battles… and way less spice and romance drama. 😬

Okay so Violet is so “small and fragile”because she has a disability called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. The author has it, so she gave it to her main character in order to represent the disability. It is a disability that weakens your joints and ligaments, and sometimes can cause random dizziness and nausea (kinda like POTS)

enemy territory 😭 did yall read the book or? Her mother had complications. Violet is "small and frail" bc she has EDS..it's been super helpful seeing a character with the same disability as me...openly dicuss her struggles with it. And how she overcomes it.
