in middle school, i had this page in the back of my notebook where i would tally mark every time someone talked to me because i was voluntarily mute due to social anxiety… i used that as an “origin” for how i grew my confidence through art and kept the tally marks as a through line… is that too middle school centered? or just an unoriginal topic in general?

Hi!! i was thinking about writing my essay about how even though I quit dancing in middle school, it still shaped who i am today and how I am the most confident version of myself when i'm dancing whether it is through theatre, partying or even mentioning how during a service trip I connected with the kids through music and dancing even if our lifestyles were very different. Does that work??

Hello. I founded a workshop at my school where we help rising juniors (I am a rising senior) get through and excel in the IB program. On top of that we also help them study effectively and manage their time and give them ECs that strength their applications. Does that count as a passion project??

what about a paragraph or two regarding the months leading up to freshman year? most of the essay will be about my freshman year though (since there was a lot of shit going on) but i was thinking of having some sort of buildup to it.
