I'm not religious myself but I was raised catholic and the way the american gar right interprets christianity absolutely drives me up the wall. How can people go to church on sunday and then cheer on the ICE raids?

the issue is not that rich people are sinners, is the accumulation, in our system poor people, and exploded countries is not optional, is a necessity. The possessions and the distortion of the importance of the materialistic world, we use it as source of identity. It should be a tool or a medium to create a better world. not to possess more

Jesus also very heavily believe that if you are in any way, blessed enough to accumulate this well it is your job literally to give as much of it away as possible to serve your fellow human beings, as stated repeatedly, and there are more examples
