I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3 v8 and I just did an oil change and now my pressure is going from 40 psi down to 20 psi and now I'm seeing my oil start to look black again like it's burnt

ummm no pressure is going to rise with rpm and drop as the rpms lower that's completely normal. most cars now have a dummy gauge though that just says normal if its within 10 psi because people believed this bs ford actually had to redesign them and put a different sensor and put a resistor on the cluster to keep it in the center of the gauge sweep.

Erm, this is incorrect! Oil pressure rises with with acceleration and deceleration cause uhm ya know you are working it more 😂
