I bake wedding cakes and a woman called and wanted a mockup of a three tier wedding cake as her tasting- all cake. Essentially wanted a free 3 tier cake.

I did custom cookies for a few years! I had a customer who sent me a picture of a local police badge she wanted me to recreate for a retirement party. The badge was silver, extremely detailed. We agreed i’d get as much detail as possible in frosting - fine. She came to pick them up & just blanked stared and said “why aren’t they gold???” I said, the picture you sent was silver. She didn’t believe me when I pulled up OUR conversation & showed her, then proceeded to EMAIL me while sitting in my driveway about how “they’re really pretty, but unfortunately they’re not gold. my husband is going to wonder why they’re not gold”. Legit thought I’d know to change the badge color?? Continued to email me that she couldn’t imagine how embarrassed her husband would be at the party that I did the wrong color…

I had to refuse a refund and the customer was in shock. No ma'am you're more than welcome to come and pickup your cake you ordered. It's ready and we'll hold it for 48hrs. She tried saying they already had the party and forgot to pick up the cake.😏 Not my problem

ohhh ohh!!!!! I was working in a bakery one summer. I worked counter and I had a lady come in to pick up a cake. everything was fine, she loved the design and ya know actually didn't argue about the price. she goes on her marry way. 3 hours pass by. I'm in the back helping sugar coat some cookies when I hear the door. I step out the back and come face to face with this woman. she was holding a bascially gone cake. hand on her hip and oh lord. she goes off about how this cake was raw on the inside and dry at the same time. how it tasted like dirt and not dark chocolate. then went on a tangent about the dog eating off the cake and "dying" it did not by the way. flips out throws the cake at me. demands a refund the works. ends up getting destructive smashed out display case open. ruining fresh product, throwing shards at me. cut open my arm, then ran out but not before knocking over this cute little prize machine and shattering that glass as well. cops got called obviously. didn't think anything was going to come of it. well her husband maybe a week later comes in. big scary guy, sweetest man ever. he paid for the damages and then paid my hospital bill. it was lord. she got like 4 years cause I was a minor at the time and she did assault me. messy messy messy. BTW the cake wasnt raw or dry or anything wrong with it. she thought she could get another one and her money back. I guess she had done this to the Walmart in town and actually got the money back and anyway yeah
