It’s because most DC characters always have that one character they always go back to and are with in most iterations. Batman and Catwoman, Superman and Lois, Aquaman and Mera, Green Arrow and Black Canary, Nightwing and Oracle, Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor, Barry and Iris, etc

even, and I hate to say it, the multiple spin offs. Teen Titans Go? Beast Boy and Raven? of yeah. Lois and Clark? everyday don't STAWP. Harley and Joker? I need some deranged completely one sided fully manipulated and fear toxin induced romance. to add onto this the family dynamics feel very sincere because most of them live together and work full time as superheros (speaking from a Young Justice standpoint)

One thing I’ve realized is that marvel live action doesn’t like to give their characters lasting happiness with a significant other lol. Always giving them character development and HUMBLING them.

dc easily clears when it comes to iconic couples — clark and lois, batman and catwoman. even people who’ve never picked up a comic know those names. they’re staples of pop culture atp. marvel has peter and mj, sure, but even that’s been fumbled a thousand times across reboots, and they’re rarely written with the same lasting depth or legacy impact. the mcu had the perfect opportunity to bring iconic comic couples to life, but instead we got tony pepper, which was kind of dry and barely developed. dc couples will always feel more mythic and timeless
