I’m a tech in ER 3rd shift. I’m the only tech from 4a-6a… every Thursday morning. I have 15 patients hospitalized tonight with things still coming in through ER. I have 2 assistants 1 who refuses to help in icu. It is currently 6:30a and I’m at the point that I’m in the bathroom sobbing… and still have to come back tonight for another short staff shift…

I’m a dog groomer and I’m starting vet tech school next month and I’ll tell you, being a groomer has thickened my skin. If I went into being and RVT before being a groomer I wouldn’t have been able to start it and be serious about it and do it.
