There were no thosand years. Rusian church os officially a department of greek church and it was like this for many years. Russian church had an influence in Ukraine for 150 years maximum, before the soviets came.

Russian Orthodox church is strictly confined to the Russian borders. Every "Russian" church outside of Russian federation is illegal. Russia was never a Patriarchical Seat. That's the ecclesiastical law in Orthodox Church.

1000yr ago there is no Russia there was "Kievan Rus" with center in Kyiv. And there is no church in Moskow becouse Moskow didnt exist 1000yr ago, church was only in Kyiv.
