I'm 27 years old and I'm emailing you from Türkiye. I'm desperate, I hope you see my email. I have genetic hair loss and eczema on my scalp. After using 1 mg of finasteride daily for seven months, I didn't get the results I expected and switched to 1 mg of dutasteride daily. My condition has been stable for about 3.5 months. I use 2% ketoconazole shampoo twice a week. The other days, I use a natural shampoo containing tea tree oil. I had three sessions of minoxidil mesotherapy. But no matter what I do, my scalp is constantly red, itchy, tight, and burning. It gets red from time to time, and sometimes I get scabs on the sparse area on the crown of my head. My scalp is not healthy at all; it's in a constant state of reaction. Doctors give me lotions containing cortisone but they don't cure it :( A friend of mine told me that since my scalp is not healthy and is constantly inflamed, dutasteride treatment won't work either because hair grows on healthy skin. I'm really curious about what you think about this... It seems like I won't be able to see regrowth and the real effect of dutasteride until I completely solve the eczema problem on my scalp :(
