@photogsteve81: I’ve gotten unique access to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office. I’m using this access to tell multiple stories to the public. First and foremost, will be helping the public understand the staffing complexities, along with the unions latest negotiations with the county, which seem to have hit an impasse. I’m also looking to help create understanding between the public and the agencies they entrust with public safety. I’ll be showing calls I’ve been able to go along with the deputies, in a more “docu” style way. This won’t just be flashing lights and pursuits (though we aren’t gonna shy away from it either). This will hopefully be seen as an unapologetic view and deep dive into the work we all pay for, while looking at and hearing from the people we all are expected to trust. A LOT more to come

“Watch your speed” I can’t remember a time when I saw a cop driving at a reasonable speed. They’re always in a hurry, all he time, everywhere they go. Once rode with an off-duty cop just around 1/2 a mile and he drove like it was Grand Theft Auto, because he knew none of his brothers would ticket him… We were going to get lunch. Effing lunch. 💀

It’s really quite sad that Pierce County executive Ryan mello hates law-enforcement and doesn’t want to pay these deputies. So many of them are leaving the county to go to Tacoma, to get paid what they deserve. There’s so many good deputies like this. You don’t have the support they deserve.

I think this is AWESOME!! I feel like most people have been disconnected with the police force, and all that they do. More off camera than on. It’s important for everyone to understand the situations, seen and unseen, to get a true gage of understanding. Yes, community events help, but that’s the “good” side. It’s not always easy to be a police officer, or first responder. As a society, I feel we have lost that. To be devils advocate, I would like to see more proactive enforcement…but understand the laws don’t always support that. Like any profession, there is the good and the bad. But I like to think there is more good. Just the bad ones make the news. Thank you for serving and all you do!
