I'm born and raised in Sweden, my parents are born and raised in Hong Kong. So when someone ask me, to save them and myself from these kind of comments I'll just say that! I don't sit and wait for them to ask, "what ethnicity are you? ".

are all of you ashamed of your ethnicity or what?? When people ask where I’m from, I proudly tell them what heritage I have. I’m only 1/4, but I still don’t look fully white, so I get asked fairly often, and I don’t get offended, but happy. I’m happy that I look like my grandparents, and that you can tell i have different heritage… so why do you get offended? Is it because you’re ashamed or what? I really don’t understand why it’s seen as offensive? Or maybe you’re ashamed that you don’t have connection to your roots? That you don’t practice the culture your family is from?

I have a Danish father and a Korean mother. Even as a mixed person, I’m often told—especially by ignorant strangers—that I’m not Danish, simply because they judge me based on my appearance, even though I was born and raised here. I went to a Danish school and grew up with Danish traditions and culture. What they don’t understand is that if we “Asian Danes” who grew up here were thrown on a plane to China, Korea, etc., we’d still be seen as different there too—because we act like Scandinavians and speak with a Danish accent, since, funny enough, this is where we’re from

For example if she is not Danish, then MOST of the Canadians will be not Canadians although they born and raised in Canada and they never left Canada. I don’t know why people do not accept the fact…NATIONALITY is NATIONALLY if she said she is Danish then SHE IS DANISH omg people!!!!

Your ROOTS and how u look like speaks louder than ur passport. I was born in Italy but I never say im Italian, because even If Im born I have always felt outcasted by the Italians... so at the end of the day IM NOT ONE OF THEM and also don't mind it, I feel.more connected to my Latin roots.

But it’s actually true , you are Asian. Same goes to me, I’m Albanian but born and raised in Italy but when people ask me where am I from I say I’m Albanian. Same goes to you you are Asian not danish . Or danish with Asian origins !
