Welcome to govt work. I work for a city and it takes 2 guys 3 full days to replace a screen door. This includes about 10 trips to Lowe’s for that one single project.

That’s so common back in 1995 TV station did the same thing to the sanitation crews because routes were small at the time they got done and they parked underneath bridges and took long lunches to kill time and $20 an hour is nothing today

Water department around here used to come in early pick up the truck and crew then go have breakfast. If there was a leak they would fix it and some times they had nothing to do. I think know if they are out of BS jobs have to go sit at the shop, and still get paid!
