@lowendwrestling: Eddie Guerrero. Possibly the smoothest, suavest and most enetertaining wrestler to touch the ring. I won't lie, it took me a while to appreciate his powers. I was 12 when he won the WWE Championship and 14 when he sadly passed away. It's only by going back to his catalogue that I've realised I was watching one of the greatest in real time. Eddie's story is super interesting but a constant was that he always delivered. Whether it was WWE, WCW or ECW, he was a prototype for the modern wrestler: daring, technical but with an edge. I mean, how many people could create as many memorable personas as Latino Heat and 'Lie, Cheat, Steal' and back it up in the ring? Then you look at his catalogue, the classic against Rey Mysterio at Halloween Havoc '97 (a match quite like that hasn't taken place since). Wrestlemania 20 against Kurt Angle. His rivalry with Edge in 2002. Even the matches against JBL. Eddie had so much heart, which made his every achievement one for the people. Just look at the reaction when he beat Brock Lesnar for the title. We remember that as a culmination of hard work paying off for someone who wasn't supposed to be in that postion. He wasn't physically big enough or one of Vince McMahon's 'guys' but he forced himself to glory by sheer will and talent. We'll never know how much more he would've achieved, and we were robbed of a dream match between him and Shawn Michaels.
