After we bought an EV our refueling expenses dropped to 10%. Yes, not dropped *by* 10% but *to* 10%. And it's almost maintenance free. In about a year it needs to have the brakes inspected. That will be the first service in three years.

Like Rory, but he's massively glazed over all of the issues with electric. Infrastructure just isn't there. Charge times are ridiculously long. Tech is prohibitively expensive. Battery materials like lithium are in short supply. That's just a few issues.

I was skeptical to EVs for years. Until I actually bought one. Every time I drive an ICE car now it feels like stepping back in time. Never going back to that outdated tech. Almost everyone who hates EVs are people with zero experience with it and it shows.

More comfortable ? 🤪 plus destroy roads quicker as twice the weight. Not enough charging stations, rapid tyre wear, range anxiety in winter when heating used and lights on more etc etc. In 10 years they will be if novelty value only 👍
