@overcoming_overspending: Yes, you absolutely deserve it. But deserving it isn’t the same as being able to afford it, or even being ready for it. 👇 If you're ready to break the overspending cycle, check out my online masterclass - Why smart, successful women overspending and what really works to break the cycle. You can find the link to watch in my bio 🔗 We’ve been sold the idea that self-love means always saying yes. Yes to the shoes, the trip, the handbag because “you deserve it.” But if your worthiness is inherent, then whether or not you deserve it becomes irrelevant. Because you always deserve it. Therefore the answer is always “yes”. Which means using “deserving it” as a purchase filter isn’t an intentional evaluation, but rather a convenient justification. Its an argument that stops being self-care and starts becoming self-sabotage. Real love sometimes looks like:
Saying no (for now)
Respecting your financial boundaries
Practicing discipline so future-you can hold more with ease You can honor your desire without abandoning your discernment. Desire doesn’t require denial, but it does require discipline. I’m Paige, the founder of @overcoming_overspending, and I help smart, successful, ambitious women like you heal their destructive spending habits so they can build the wealth they’re worthy of. I’d love to have you come be a part of our amazing community! 👇 Start by watching my online masterclass - Why smart, successful women overspending and what really works to break the cycle. Gretch :
I was window shopping, looking at a pair of earrings while the jeweler was fixing my ring. I told the salesperson that they were beautiful, but too expensive and impractical for me. She responded they “but you’re so worth it”, and I replied “I know, but they’re not”. I think about that a lot when making any purchases.

I find myself saying, “here for a good time, not a long time” or what if tomorrow never comes and I didn’t “enjoy” my life to the fullest now, it’s a terrible habit
