We ask Allah (Jalla Jalaluhu) to save us from Jahannam, and we ask Him to grant us Jannatul Firdaws. We know that only He can give Paradise and only He can protect from Hell. This very belief – that He alone has power over reward and punishment – shows that we know who He is. Worshiping Him with fear and hope does not reduce our faith, it reflects our recognition of His Majesty, Mercy, and Justice.
