As a result, I’m being forced to sell our family home. I’ve done everything within my power — from attempting to remortgage and reorganising finances to seeking professional advice — but on my own, I simply don’t meet the affordability requirements. We’re now facing the very real and heartbreaking possibility of losing our home. The thought of moving into a small flat in an unfamiliar area is incredibly painful, especially for my children, who have known this house as their safe space and their whole world. I made a promise to my children that I would fight with everything I have to keep this house — not out of comfort or luxury, but to protect their sense of safety and continuity.
