It’s been 2 months since I’ve combed my curls. It’s been stressing me out so I finally decided to detangle it myself. I did a coconut hot oil treatment on my whole hair & put a shower cap + bonnet over it to sit overnight. This morning I put a whole bunch of conditioner over it & repeated the process of putting a shower cap & bonnet over it to let it sit for an hour. Now I’m about to try to section it & detangle it today. I’m really tender headed and I’m scared but I hope my process helped soften my matted hair first.

thank you so much for offering such ab empathetic service. when my hair was matted from 3 days in the hospital (my strands are very fine and tangled easy) I couldn't get it undone and just chopped it all off. I finally have my length back but I was super sad when I cut my hair. I had never had it that long in my life and cutting it off felt like losing a piece of myself. so again. thank you. hair is a part of us

I got so sick with the flu and it was like 3-4 days and my hair was SO matted. This can happen SO easily. Whether it’s a hospital stay, depressive episode, chronic illness, saltwater, the list goes ON. Thank you for helping her.
