Bong-su may have been an evil spirit who ruthlessly killed people but deep inside, he was a good person by heart who was just forced to become a villain for wanting to live the life he never got to experience. In those years he had spent with seong-ah, he finally got the chance to spend time with her, watching her carry all the burden alone made him let go of the painful past and decided to end all those sufferings he brings to the person he loves. The fact that he wanted to leave seong-ah's body just proves that he was now willing to cross over. He really loves seong-ah just like how much he loves the idea of living the life he didn't get the chance to.
